The company engages in the distribution of natural gas, electricity, and propane, as well as the transmission of natural gas, generation of electricity and steam, and provision of mobile compressed natural gas and other energy-related services. The company operates through two reportable segments: Regulated Energy and Unregulated Energy. The Regulated Energy segment comprises natural gas and electric distribution operations along with natural gas transmission services, generating $119.7 million in net income during 2025. This segment includes operations under Florida Public Utilities Company, Florida City Gas, Delmarva Natural Gas divisions, Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company, Peninsula Pipeline, and Aspire Energy Express.
