What Circle Internet Group, Inc. does
In the company’s own words
Circle Internet Financial, Inc. (NYSE: CRCL) operates a full-stack internet financial platform anchored by its stablecoin network and designed to modernize how value moves globally. The company's mission centers on raising global economic prosperity through frictionless exchange of value by leveraging digital assets, public blockchain networks, and related applications to address constraints in the incumbent financial system, including slow settlement, high costs, limited interoperability, and barriers to access.
Circle's platform comprises three integrated pillars. Arc Blockchain and Developer Infrastructure includes the company's Layer-1 blockchain network purpose-built for real-world economic activity, along with developer tools and interoperability services. Circle Digital Assets and Services encompasses the company's payment stablecoins USDC and EURC, the tokenized money market fund USYC, and liquidity services including Circle Mint and xReserve. Circle Applications delivers real-world utility through products like the Circle Payments Network, an enterprise-grade system enabling banks and payment service providers to move money using stablecoins, and StableFX, an institutional foreign exchange engine.
USDC represents the company's flagship product, with over seventy-five billion dollars in circulation as of December 31, 2025, and daily transaction volumes regularly exceeding ten billion dollars. The stablecoin operates natively on thirty public blockchains and maintains deep integration with the existing financial system through banking relationships in more than one hundred eighty-five countries. Since 2018, Circle has facilitated over fifty-three trillion dollars between traditional banking and digital payment rails.
The company operates with a regulation-first philosophy and maintains robust compliance infrastructure across multiple jurisdictions. Circle holds licenses and registrations including a virtual currency license from the New York Department of Financial Services, a Digital Asset Service Provider registration and E-Money Institution license in France, a Major Payments Institution License in Singapore, and an Electronic Money Issuer license in the United Kingdom. In December 2025, Circle received conditional approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to establish Circle National Trust, a federally regulated trust institution.
Circle's reserve management infrastructure emphasizes transparency and trust, with approximately eighty-eight percent of USDC reserves held in the Circle Reserve Fund, a government money market fund managed by BlackRock. The company publishes daily reserve reporting and maintains independent third-party monthly assurance from leading public accounting firms.
