Founded in 2002, the company has built its competitive advantage around the proprietary CodeEvolver directed evolution technology platform, which uses machine learning and sophisticated molecular workflows to design and optimize enzymes for specific applications and manufacturing processes.
The company operates through two primary business segments. The ECO Synthesis manufacturing platform represents a strategic growth initiative designed to enable large-scale production of RNA interference therapeutics using enzymatic tools and processes. This platform addresses limitations of the current industry standard phosphoramidite chemistry by offering improved purity, yield, and manufacturing efficiency while reducing reliance on hazardous solvents.
