The company manufactures and sells molded products for medium and heavy-duty trucks, power sports, building products, and other industrial markets. Core Molding Technologies operates six production facilities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with 1,239 total employees distributed across 339 in the United States, 727 in Mexico, and 173 in Canada. The company owns 82 molding presses ranging from 250 to 5,500 tons, including 54 compression molding presses, 4 resin transfer molding presses, and 24 injection molding presses.
The company's manufacturing processes include Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) compression molding, Direct Long Fiber Thermoplastic (DLFT) compression molding, vacuum resin transfer molding (RTM), structural foam and web injection molding (SIM), Reaction Injection Molding (RIM), hand lay-up, and spray-up processes.
