CTS Corporation (NASDAQ: CTSH) is a global manufacturer of sensors, connectivity components, and actuators serving original equipment manufacturers, tier one suppliers, and the U.S. Government across aerospace and defense, industrial, medical, and transportation markets. Founded in 1896 as a provider of telephone products and incorporated as an Indiana corporation in 1929, CTS has evolved into a diversified technology company with a vision to be a leading provider of sensing and motion devices as well as connectivity components enabling an intelligent and seamless world.
The company organizes its product portfolio into three functional categories: Sense products that provide vital inputs to electronic systems, Connect products enabling systems to function in synchronization with other systems, and Move products ensuring required movements are effectively executed. In 2025, transportation represented 43 percent of consolidated net sales, industrial accounted for 26 percent, medical contributed 16 percent, and aerospace and defense represented 15 percent of revenues.
CTS operates manufacturing facilities across North America, Asia, and Europe, with sales and marketing accomplished through sales engineers, independent manufacturers' representatives, and distributors. The company maintains sales offices in China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and the United States. Approximately 86 percent of 2025 net sales were attributable to sales engineers servicing the company's largest customers with application-specific products.
As of December 31, 2025, CTS employed 3,492 people globally, with 1,875 in North America, 1,099 in Asia, and 518 in Europe. Non-U.S. operations generated 43.7 percent of net sales in 2025. The company's non-U.S. manufacturing footprint includes facilities in China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Mexico, Philippines, Poland, and Taiwan.
CTS holds approximately 285 patents worldwide, including 144 active U.S. patents, and obtained 24 new patents in 2025. The company has pursued strategic acquisitions including TEWA Temperature Sensors, Ferroperm Piezoceramics, Maglab, and SyQwest to complement and expand its business capabilities.
