As of December 31, 2025, Evergy employed 4,691 people, including 2,479 represented by five local unions of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and one local union of the United Government Security Officers of America. The company's workforce includes 1,882 generation employees, 1,468 transmission and distribution employees, and 1,341 support personnel.
Evergy's core strategy centers on three tenets: affordability through maintaining competitive rates while investing in infrastructure, reliability through top-tier performance in customer service and generation, and sustainability through advancing a diverse generation portfolio. The company is regulated by the State Corporation Commission of Kansas and the Public Service Commission of Missouri for retail rates and service standards, and by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for transmission and wholesale operations.
