What EVI INDUSTRIES, INC. does

In the company’s own words

EVI Industries, Inc. (NYSE American: EVI) operates as a value-added distributor of commercial laundry equipment and related services, serving approximately 55,000 customers across the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and Latin America. The company's website is http://www.evi-ind.com.

The company's core business centers on the distribution and leasing of commercial laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, tunnel systems, finishing equipment, material handling systems, and mechanical equipment such as boilers and water heating systems. EVI also distributes replacement parts and accessories and provides installation, maintenance, and repair services through a robust network of commercial laundry technicians. The company's customer base spans diverse sectors including vended laundry facilities, industrial laundry operations, government institutions, correctional facilities, hospitals, nursing homes, hotels, food and beverage establishments, and cruise lines.

As of June 30, 2026, EVI operated as a single reportable segment focused on commercial laundry distribution and services. However, in September 2026, the company completed its acquisition of Sudsies, Inc., marking its expansion into the consumer garment care services industry and establishing a new operating segment dedicated to consumer garment care operations. This acquisition represents the company's first major diversification beyond commercial laundry since initiating its buy-and-build growth strategy in 2016.

EVI's growth strategy combines organic initiatives with disciplined acquisition activity. The company pursues acquisitions that complement its existing business while implementing a growth culture based on idea exchange among management teams and investments in sales personnel, service capabilities, facilities, and technology. The company maintains relationships with major manufacturers including American Dryer Corporation, Dexter Laundry, Girbau S.A., Pellerin Milnor Corporation, and others, with purchases from four manufacturers representing approximately 71 percent of product sourcing.

As of August 1, 2026, the company employed 900 full and part-time employees, all based in the United States. The company operates without unionized labor and emphasizes performance-based compensation, equity programs, and employee training initiatives. EVI competes in a highly fragmented market with over 500 distributors, differentiating itself through comprehensive product offerings, experienced service personnel, optimized inventory management, and value-added services.
