First Business Financial Services distinguishes itself through deep client relationships, specialized financial expertise, and a centralized administrative structure rather than relying on traditional branch networks. The company's business model emphasizes long-term client relationships and best-in-class service delivery, competing against regional and national financial institutions through experienced banking professionals and responsive service. The bank was originally chartered in 1909 as Kingston State Bank in Wisconsin before relocating to Madison in 1990 to focus on commercial banking services for small to medium-sized businesses.
