Gencor Industries, Inc. (NYSE American: GENC) is a leading manufacturer of heavy machinery used in the production of highway construction equipment and materials and environmental control equipment. The company operates through a single reportable segment and maintains its website at www.gencor.com.
The company's core product portfolio includes asphalt pavers, hot mix asphalt plants, combustion systems, and fluid heat transfer systems. Gencor manufactures substantially all of its products and components at three facilities located in the United States: Marquette, Iowa; Orlando, Florida; and Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. As of September 30, 2025, the company employs 318 full-time employees, with a collective bargaining agreement covering employees at its Marquette facility.
Gencor's asphalt plants division manufactures hot-mix asphalt plants and related equipment including storage silos, fabric filtration systems, and cold feed bins. The company's H&B product line represents the world's oldest asphalt plant line, first manufactured in 1894. Through its Bituma Corporation subsidiary, Gencor developed the first continuous process for asphalt production. The company pioneered counter flow drum mix technology, which has become an industry standard for its environmental efficiency.
The combustion systems division, operated through General Combustion subsidiary, manufactures large burners and combustion systems for multiple fuel types serving the asphalt and aggregate drying industries since the 1950s. The fluid heat transfer systems division produces thermal fluid heaters and specialty storage tanks under the Hy-Way Heat and Beverley brand lines for industrial and petrochemical applications.
Gencor manufactures asphalt pavers under the Blaw-Knox brand, which dates to 1917 and introduced its first road paving equipment in 1929. The company's business is seasonal, with the majority of orders received between October and February, reflecting the highway construction industry's peak season during summer and fall months. The company's products are sold through company-employed sales representatives and independent dealers. Gencor's revenue for fiscal 2025 totaled $115.4 million, with no single customer accounting for more than ten percent of net revenue.
