Grace Therapeutics applies proprietary formulation and drug delivery technologies to existing pharmaceutical compounds to achieve enhanced efficacy, faster onset of action, reduced side effects, and more convenient drug delivery. The company's therapeutic pipeline consists of three unique clinical-stage drug candidates supported by an intellectual property portfolio of more than 79 granted and pending patents across various jurisdictions worldwide.
The company's lead drug candidate, GTx-104, is a novel injectable formulation of nimodipine being developed for intravenous infusion to treat aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). GTx-104 uses patented nanoparticle technology to overcome nimodipine's solubility limitations and facilitate aqueous formulation for standard peripheral intravenous infusion. The Phase 3 STRIVE-ON randomized safety trial demonstrated that GTx-104 met its primary endpoint with a 19 percent reduction in clinically significant hypotension compared to oral nimodipine capsules. In June 2025, Grace submitted a New Drug Application to the FDA, which was accepted for review with an April 2026 target date. In April 2026, the FDA issued a Complete Response Letter citing certain manufacturing deficiencies and non-clinical issues that the company believes can be addressed in a resubmission.
Grace's de-prioritized drug candidates include GTx-102, a concentrated oral spray of betamethasone for ataxia-telangiectasia, and GTx-101, a topical bio-adhesive film-forming bupivacaine spray for postherpetic neuralgia. In June 2026, the company determined it would not resume internal development funding for these candidates under its current operating plan, though it retains all intellectual property rights and continues evaluating business development opportunities including out-licensing and partnerships.
