The company maintains its principal office at www.hanmi.com and operates through a network of full-service branches located in California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
Founded over forty years ago to serve underbanked minority immigrant communities in Los Angeles, Hanmi Bank generates revenues primarily from interest and fees on loans, which comprised 84.5 percent of total revenues, supplemented by interest and dividends on securities at 6.0 percent, service charges and fees at 5.4 percent, and gains on sales of SBA and residential mortgage loans at 2.2 percent combined. The bank's loan portfolio totals approximately $6.6 billion, with real estate loans representing 77.4 percent of the portfolio, including commercial property at 61.2 percent, residential property at 16.0 percent, and construction at 0.2 percent. Commercial and industrial loans comprise 16.4 percent of the portfolio, while equipment financing agreements represent 6.2 percent.
