What Harmony Biosciences Holdings, Inc. does

In the company’s own words

Harmony Biosciences Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: HRMY) is a neuroscience company focused on developing and commercializing innovative treatments for rare neurological diseases. The company operates through wholly owned subsidiaries Harmony Biosciences, LLC and Harmony Biosciences Management, Inc.

The company's commercial foundation rests on WAKIX (pitolisant), a first-in-class H3 receptor antagonist approved by the FDA for treating excessive daytime sleepiness and cataplexy in both adult and pediatric patients six years and older with narcolepsy. WAKIX generated net product revenue of $868.5 million for the year ended December 31, 2025, with approximately 8,500 patients on the medication as of the fourth quarter of 2025. The product represents a differentiated offering as the only FDA-approved non-scheduled treatment for narcolepsy, administered as a once-daily oral tablet.

Beyond its lead narcolepsy franchise, Harmony maintains a diversified pipeline spanning sleep and wake disorders, rare epilepsy, and neurobehavioral conditions. The company is advancing pitolisant in late-stage clinical programs for idiopathic hypersomnia, Prader-Willi syndrome, and myotonic dystrophy type 1. Next-generation pitolisant formulations, including pitolisant gastro-resistant and pitolisant high-dose, are in clinical development with potential applications across multiple indications. The company also sublicensed BP1.15205, an orexin 2 receptor agonist, from Bioprojet for development in the United States and Latin America.

Harmony's rare epilepsy franchise includes EPX-100 and EPX-200, acquired through the Zynerba Pharmaceuticals acquisition, with EPX-100 currently in Phase 3 registrational trials for Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. The company also holds development rights to ZYN002, a transdermal cannabidiol gel for neurological conditions.

The company's intellectual property portfolio includes exclusive licensing agreements with Bioprojet Société Civile de Recherche for pitolisant-based products and related patent protections extending into the 2040s. Harmony operates through specialty pharmaceutical distributors and maintains manufacturing relationships with multiple contract development and manufacturing organizations to support its commercial and development operations.
