What Heartflow, Inc. does
In the company’s own words
Heartflow, Inc. (Nasdaq: FLOW) operates as a software and artificial intelligence company focused on transforming the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, a leading cause of death worldwide. The company's website is www.heartflow.com.
The company provides the Heartflow Platform, an AI-powered diagnostic solution that enhances coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) imaging by applying advanced computational fluid dynamics and deep learning algorithms to create personalized three-dimensional models of patients' hearts. This technology delivers actionable insights on blood flow, stenosis, plaque volume, and plaque composition, enabling more accurate non-invasive diagnosis compared to traditional imaging methods.
Heartflow's product portfolio consists of three commercially available offerings and one product expected to launch in the second quarter of 2026. Heartflow FFRCT Analysis, the company's flagship product, represents 98 percent of total revenue and calculates blood flow to identify clinically significant coronary artery disease. Heartflow RoadMap Analysis provides anatomical visualization to improve CCTA interpretation efficiency and consistency. Heartflow Plaque Analysis automatically assesses coronary plaque characteristics and volumes to optimize medical treatment strategies. The forthcoming Heartflow PCI Navigator will provide pre-procedure assessment for interventional cardiologists.
As of December 31, 2025, the Heartflow Platform had been used to assess coronary artery disease in more than 600,000 patients, including 219,000 in 2025 alone. The company operates more than 1,465 accounts across the United States. The platform has been validated through over 200 clinical studies involving more than 365,000 patients, with results published in over 600 peer-reviewed publications.
Heartflow generates revenue on a pay-per-click basis, with customers billed each time physicians access Heartflow FFRCT Analysis or Heartflow Plaque Analysis. Both products have received FDA clearance and established Category I Current Procedural Terminology codes, with reimbursement coverage representing approximately 99 percent of covered lives for FFRCT Analysis and 75 percent for Plaque Analysis. The company employs a direct sales organization combining Territory Sales Managers focused on new account acquisition with Territory Account Managers driving utilization expansion at existing accounts.
