What HELIOS TECHNOLOGIES, INC. does

In the company’s own words

Helios Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: HELO) is a global leader in highly engineered motion control and electronic controls technology serving diverse end markets including construction, material handling, agriculture, industrial, mobile, energy, recreational vehicles, marine, aerospace, and health and wellness. The company operates through two primary business segments: Hydraulics and Electronics.

The Hydraulics segment, representing 64 percent of 2025 sales, designs and manufactures hydraulic motion control and fluid conveyance technology products including cartridge valves, manifolds, quick release couplings, and complete hydraulic system solutions. This segment operates under the Sun Hydraulics, Faster, NEM, Taimi, Daman, and Schultes brands. The Electronics segment designs and manufactures customized electronic controls systems, displays, wire harnesses, and software solutions through brands including Enovation Controls, Murphy, Zero Off, HCT, Balboa Water Group, Joyonway, i3PD, and Cygnus Reach.

Helios employs over 2,300 colleagues worldwide, with approximately 56 percent located in the Americas, 28 percent in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and 16 percent in Asia Pacific. The company maintains manufacturing centers in North America, Europe, and Asia, implementing a "center of excellence" operations strategy and pursuing "in the region, for the region" manufacturing to optimize supply chains and reduce lead times.

The company's Hydraulics segment distributes products through value-added distributors and directly to original equipment manufacturers, with geographic sales fairly evenly distributed across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions. The Electronics segment derives 78 percent of sales from OEM customers, with 79 percent of segment sales concentrated in the Americas. Helios owns approximately 300 active patents and trademarks and maintains over 300 engineers supporting product innovation.

Recent acquisitions including Schultes Precision Manufacturing and i3 Product Development have expanded manufacturing capabilities and engineering services. The company divested Custom Fluidpower in September 2025 as part of portfolio optimization. Helios competes on product quality, reliability, technological innovation, and customer service, with defensible market positions in niche segments supported by high switching costs and strong customer relationships.
