The business

HF Sinclair Corporation (NYSE: DINO) is an independent energy company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with operations across the United States, Canada, and Europe. The company's website is www.hfsinclair.com.

HF Sinclair operates a diversified energy business centered on refining, renewable fuels, marketing, specialty lubricants, and midstream logistics. The company owns and operates seven complex refineries with a combined crude oil processing capacity of 678,000 barrels per stream day, strategically located across the Mid-Continent, Southwest, Rocky Mountains, and Pacific Northwest regions. These facilities include operations in El Dorado Kansas; Tulsa Oklahoma; Anacortes Washington; Artesia and Lovington New Mexico; West Bountiful Utah; Sinclair Wyoming; and Casper Wyoming. Each refinery is designed to process discounted, heavy, or sour crude oils into high-value light products including gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, and liquefied petroleum gases.

The company's renewables segment operates three renewable diesel units with combined annual production capacity of approximately 378 million gallons, converting soybean oil and other renewable feedstocks into cleaner-burning fuel with significantly lower lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions than conventional diesel. The marketing segment encompasses more than 1,700 branded fuel sites across the United States and licensing arrangements for approximately 350 additional locations. The lubricants and specialties segment produces base oils, automotive and industrial lubricants, pharmaceutical white oils, and specialty products through operations including Petro-Canada Lubricants, Red Giant Oil, and Sonneborn, serving customers in over 80 countries.

The midstream segment operates approximately 660 miles of refined product pipelines, crude oil pipelines totaling approximately 2,000 miles, and multiple terminals and storage facilities with combined capacity exceeding 17 million barrels. The company also holds ownership interests in several joint venture pipelines including the Osage Pipeline, Cushing Connect, Saddle Butte Pipeline, and Pioneer Pipeline.

As of December 31, 2025, HF Sinclair employed 5,165 people globally, with 4,301 in the United States, 656 in Canada, and 208 in Europe. Approximately 1,588 employees were covered by collective bargaining agreements. The company completed the merger of Holly Energy Partners into its operations in December 2023, significantly expanding its midstream capabilities and integrated logistics infrastructure.

Fund ownership counts N-PORT filers only, so it is a floor rather than a census — pensions, insurers and direct holders are not visible here, and the remainder is not “held by individuals”.

Fund ownership is a subset of institutional 13F ownership — the two describe overlapping populations and must not be added together.
