The company maintains its headquarters in Asheville, North Carolina and serves customers across a five-state geographic footprint spanning North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, and Virginia through more than 30 locations.
The Bank's principal business consists of attracting deposits from the general public and investing those funds, along with borrowed funds, in a diversified loan portfolio. Core lending activities include commercial real estate loans, construction and development loans, commercial and industrial loans, equipment finance leases, municipal leases, and residential mortgage loans secured by one-to-four family properties. The company also originates one-to-four family loans, Small Business Administration loans, and home equity lines of credit for sale to third parties. The investment portfolio includes debt securities issued by United States Government agencies and government-sponsored enterprises, municipal bonds, corporate bonds, and certificates of deposit insured by the FDIC.
