Its clients include corporations, financial sponsors, government agencies, companies in financial distress, creditor groups, boards, and business owners. The firm operates through three reportable segments: Corporate Finance, covering M&A and capital solutions; Financial Restructuring, advising companies and creditor constituencies in out-of-court negotiations and formal insolvency proceedings; and Financial and Valuation Advisory, providing financial opinions, valuation, transaction accounting, tax, diligence, and consulting services. Established in 1972, Houlihan Lokey had approximately 2,800 employees worldwide and served more than 2,000 clients annually as of March 31, 2026; it operated more than 30 offices globally. Its advisory model excludes lending, securities sales and trading, and investment research. Its website is www.hl.com.
