What Insulet Corporation does
In the company’s own words
Insulet Corporation (Nasdaq: PODD) develops, manufactures, and sells continuous insulin delivery systems for people with insulin-dependent diabetes. Its Omnipod platform includes Omnipod 5, an automated insulin delivery system that uses glucose-monitor data to adjust insulin delivery; Omnipod DASH, a tubeless insulin management system; and the legacy Classic Omnipod system, which is being phased out. The wearable, disposable Pods deliver insulin without the external tubing used by conventional pumps, and Omnipod 5 can be controlled with a handheld device or compatible smartphone app. Insulet also makes Pods for Amgen’s Neulasta Onpro kit, which delivers a drug used to help reduce infection risk after intense chemotherapy. The company sells through wholesalers, pharmacies, distribution partners, and directly to consumers, serving users, clinicians, and healthcare payors in the United States and international markets. It also offers data-management and analytics tools, including Omnipod Discover. Insulet reported approximately 5,400 full-time employees as of December 31, 2025, and its products were available in 25 countries. Its website is http://www.insulet.com.
