The firm's business is organized into two primary reportable segments: Investment Banking and Capital Markets, and Asset Management. The Investment Banking and Capital Markets segment provides underwriting, financial advisory services, and capital markets execution across equities and fixed income products to public companies, private companies, financial sponsors, institutional investors, and government entities. This segment encompasses investment banking services organized by industry coverage groups including Consumer, Energy and Power, Financial Institutions, Financial Sponsors, Healthcare, Industrials, Municipal Finance, Real Estate Gaming and Lodging, and Technology Media and Telecom. The segment also includes equities research and sales and trading, prime brokerage services, wealth management, and fixed income capabilities spanning credit products, municipal securities, and structured finance. Additionally, this segment houses Jefferies Finance, a joint venture with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company focused on leveraged finance and credit asset management, and Berkadia Commercial Mortgage Holding LLC, a joint venture with Berkshire Hathaway providing commercial real estate finance and servicing.
The Asset Management segment provides alternative investment management services through directly owned and affiliated managers, offering strategies across multiple asset classes to institutional investors globally. This segment also holds legacy merchant banking investments in companies including Stratos Group International, an online foreign exchange trading provider, and Tessellis, a publicly listed Italian telecommunications company.
As of November 30, 2025, Jefferies employed 7,787 individuals globally, with approximately 50 percent located in the Americas, 36 percent in Europe and the Middle East, and 14 percent in Asia-Pacific. The company's workforce includes 5,990 employees in core investment banking, capital markets, and asset management roles, with an additional 1,797 individuals employed within subsidiary operations.
