Kaiser produces flat-rolled products including plate, sheet, and coil; extruded products such as rod, bar, hollows, and shapes; drawn products including rod, bar, pipe, tube, and wire; and certain cast aluminum items. The company strategically focuses on four primary end markets: Aero/HS Products for aerospace and high-strength applications using 2000, 7000, and certain 6000-series alloys; Packaging products consisting of bare and coated 3000 and 5000-series alloy coil for beverage and food containers; GE Products comprising 6000-series alloy plate, sheet, rod, bar, tube, and wire for general engineering applications; and Automotive Extrusions featuring 6000-series extruded aluminum for North American automotive components.
The company operates manufacturing facilities in Spokane Valley, Washington (Trentwood); Newburgh, Indiana (Warrick); Heath, Ohio (Newark); and additional locations in Chandler and Los Angeles, California; Kalamazoo, Michigan; London, Ontario; Florence, Alabama; Jackson, Tennessee; Columbia, New Jersey; Richmond, Virginia; and Richland, Washington. As of December 31, 2025, Kaiser employed 3,840 people, with approximately 65 percent represented by labor unions including the United Steel Workers, International Association of Machinists, and International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
The company's customer base comprises blue-chip aerospace and automotive manufacturers, tier-one suppliers, beverage and food packaging manufacturers, and metal service centers, with approximately 70 percent of shipments sold directly to manufacturers or tier-one suppliers and 30 percent to metal service centers. Kaiser differentiates itself through proprietary KaiserSelect® products engineered for enhanced characteristics, the Kaiser Production System emphasizing continuous improvement, and significant research and development capabilities across multiple metallurgical analysis centers and specialized coating facilities. The company also owns Imperial Machine & Tool Co., providing advanced manufacturing and technology capabilities complementing its core aluminum fabrication business.
