In January 2025, Keros entered an exclusive license agreement with Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc. to develop, manufacture and commercialize elritercept worldwide outside mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.

The company completed a Phase 1 clinical trial of rinvatercept in healthy volunteers in March 2025, demonstrating increased lean muscle mass, bone mineral density improvements and favorable fat metabolism markers without major safety signals. Preclinical data supports rinvatercept's potential in both DMD and ALS models, showing increased muscle strength, reduced fibrosis and preserved muscle function.
