Founded in 1963 by Gary Comer as a catalog business selling sailboat hardware, Lands' End has evolved into a classic American lifestyle brand built on principles of quality, service, and value. The company was spun off from Sears Holdings in 2014 and listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market. In January 2026, Lands' End announced a strategic joint venture with WHP Global to hold and expand the company's intellectual property and licensing business, while Lands' End retains operational control of its core B2C and B2B operations.
