The company operates through two primary business segments: homebuilding and financial services. Homebuilding represents the dominant portion of the business, accounting for 97 percent of consolidated revenue, while financial services contributes 3 percent. The homebuilding operations are organized into two reporting regions—Northern and Southern—encompassing 17 distinct markets across ten states. As of December 31, 2025, M/I Homes offered homes for sale in 232 communities, with an average sales price of $479,000 for homes delivered during 2025 and $547,000 for homes in backlog. The company designs, markets, constructs and sells single-family homes and attached townhomes targeting first-time, move-up, empty-nester and luxury buyers, with offerings ranging from approximately $190,000 to $1,250,000.
