The company operates through three primary reportable segments: Home and Commercial Solutions, Learning and Development, and Outdoor and Recreation. The Home and Commercial Solutions segment encompasses household products including kitchen appliances, food storage, vacuum sealing, cookware, and home fragrance products, alongside commercial cleaning and maintenance solutions. The Learning and Development segment includes writing instruments, art products, labeling solutions, and baby gear and infant care products. The Outdoor and Recreation segment focuses on active lifestyle products and technical apparel for outdoor activities.

Newell Brands maintains an extensive portfolio of well-known brands including Rubbermaid, Sharpie, Graco, Coleman, Yankee Candle, Paper Mate, FoodSaver, Dymo, EXPO, Elmer's, Oster, NUK, Spontex, and Campingaz, among others. The company sells products in over 150 countries and serves principal customers including large mass merchandisers, warehouse clubs, home centers, office superstores, specialty retailers, and e-commerce platforms. Amazon and Walmart represent the company's largest customers, accounting for approximately 17 percent and 13 percent of net sales respectively.
