Founded in 2005 as First Standard Bank and rebranded as Open Bank in 2010, OP Bancorp formed its holding company structure in 2016. The company provides commercial banking services primarily to small and medium-sized businesses, their owners, and retail customers, with a strategic focus on the Korean-American community across multiple states.
Open Bank operates twelve full-service branches located across California, Texas, and Nevada, including nine branches in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, one branch in Santa Clara, California, one in Carrollton, Texas, and one in Las Vegas, Nevada. Additionally, the company maintains five loan production offices in Pleasanton, California; Atlanta, Georgia; Aurora, Colorado; Lynnwood, Washington; and Fairfax, Virginia. As of December 31, 2025, OP Bancorp employed 249 full-time equivalent employees.
The company's lending activities are diversified across commercial real estate, commercial and industrial loans, Small Business Administration loans, home mortgages, and consumer loans. OP Bancorp attracts retail deposits through its branch network offering a wide range of deposit products for business and consumer banking customers. The company supplements core deposits with wholesale funding, including brokered deposits, as needed.
OP Bancorp maintains a values-based corporate culture rooted in personal community-based relationship banking. The company established the Open Stewardship Foundation in 2011 to support civic organizations, schools, and charitable nonprofits in its service communities. Since inception, the foundation has donated approximately $22.1 million to support over 250 local nonprofit organizations through December 31, 2025. The company commits annually to contribute ten percent of consolidated net income after taxes to the foundation.
The company competes primarily through relationship-based banking, deep community knowledge, responsive decision-making, disciplined risk management, and a scalable operating platform. While historically growing through organic expansion and de novo branches, OP Bancorp remains open to considering opportunistic strategic acquisitions to enhance its long-term growth strategy.
