Otter Tail Corporation (OTC) is a diversified holding company headquartered in the Upper Midwest with strategic investments across electric utility, manufacturing, and plastic pipe production. The Electric segment, representing 43 percent of operating revenues, comprises Otter Tail Power Company, a vertically integrated regulated utility serving approximately 134,000 customers across more than 400 communities in western Minnesota, eastern North Dakota, and northeastern South Dakota. OTP generates, purchases, transmits, and distributes electric energy across a predominantly rural and agricultural service territory spanning approximately 70,000 square miles. The utility operates a diversified generation portfolio including baseload coal plants, combustion turbines, wind facilities totaling 350 megawatts of capacity, solar installations, and hydroelectric facilities, supplemented by power purchase agreements. OTP maintains approximately 14,000 miles of transmission and distribution lines and is subject to regulation by state public utility commissions in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota, as well as federal oversight by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

The Manufacturing segment contributes 24 percent of revenues and includes BTD Manufacturing, a metal fabrication company providing custom machine parts and metal components through facilities in Minnesota, Illinois, and Georgia, and T.O. Plastics, which manufactures thermoformed plastic products for horticultural, medical, and industrial markets from facilities in Minnesota.

The Plastics segment comprises Northern Pipe Products and Vinyltech Corporation, which produce polyvinyl chloride pipe primarily for municipal water infrastructure, with manufacturing plants in North Dakota and Arizona and sales concentrated in the western United States and Canada.

As of December 31, 2025, Otter Tail Corporation employed 2,198 full-time employees across its operating subsidiaries. The company pursues a long-term investment strategy targeting compounded annual earnings per share growth of seven to nine percent, with an intended earnings mix of approximately seventy percent from the Electric segment and thirty percent from the Manufacturing Platform. The company maintains investment-grade credit ratings and provides continuous dividend payments to shareholders.
