Provident Bank is a New Jersey-chartered capital stock savings bank that provides comprehensive financial services throughout New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, and portions of New York. The bank operates a network of 141 full-service banking offices across fourteen counties in New Jersey, three counties in Pennsylvania, and three counties in New York, complemented by satellite loan production offices in key markets. The bank's market area encompasses approximately 7.6 million people in New Jersey, 1.4 million in Pennsylvania, and 4.1 million in New York.
The bank's core business centers on originating and retaining a diversified loan portfolio, attracting core deposits, and providing comprehensive financial services. As of December 31, 2025, the loan portfolio totaled approximately $19.5 billion, with commercial mortgage loans representing 38.3 percent, multi-family mortgage loans 19.0 percent, commercial loans 26.9 percent, residential mortgage loans 10.2 percent, construction loans 3.4 percent, and consumer loans 3.2 percent.
