What PVH CORP. does
In the company’s own words
PVH Corp. (NYSE: PVH) operates as one of the world's largest global apparel companies through its corporate website at PVH.com. The company generates approximately nine billion dollars in annual revenues and maintains a workforce of roughly twenty-six thousand associates operating across more than forty countries worldwide.
The company's business centers on two iconic global lifestyle brands: TOMMY HILFIGER and Calvin Klein, which together account for over ninety-five percent of total revenues. TOMMY HILFIGER, established in 1985 and rooted in Americana, generates approximately nine billion dollars in global retail sales through its collections celebrating "Prep made Modern." Calvin Klein, founded in New York in 1968, similarly generates approximately nine billion dollars in global retail sales and is defined by its distinctive modern aesthetic and American fashion roots. The Heritage Brands business, which includes men's underwear under the Nike brand and men's dress shirts under Van Heusen, represents the remainder of revenues.
PVH operates through four reportable segments organized by geography: EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Americas, APAC (Asia-Pacific), and Licensing. The company designs and markets branded sportswear, jeanswear, performance apparel, intimate apparel, underwear, swimwear, dress shirts, handbags, accessories, and footwear across multiple price points and distribution channels including wholesale, direct-to-consumer retail stores, and digital commerce platforms.
The company's products are manufactured across approximately one thousand factories in roughly thirty countries, primarily in Asia. PVH maintains extensive licensing arrangements with third parties for product categories and territories, including approximately thirty license agreements per brand. The company completed the sale of its women's intimates businesses under the Warner's, Olga, and True&Co. trademarks in November 2023, focusing resources on its core TOMMY HILFIGER and Calvin Klein brands.
PVH's strategic framework, the PVH+ Plan, aims to build these brands into the world's most desirable lifestyle brands through five key growth drivers: advancing category offense with hero products, winning consumer engagement through cultural relevance, growing direct-to-consumer channels, developing demand-driven operating models, and driving operational efficiencies while investing in growth.
