The company maintains its website at www.rell.com and serves customers across alternative energy, healthcare, aviation, broadcast, communications, industrial, marine, medical, military, scientific, and semiconductor markets.
The company operates through three reportable segments following a fiscal 2026 realignment. Power and Microwave Technologies combines engineered solutions capabilities with power grid and microwave tube business, offering RF, wireless, and power technologies to customers in 5G, aviation, broadcast, communications, industrial, marine, medical, military, scientific, and semiconductor markets. Green Energy Solutions designs and manufactures innovative products for energy storage and power management applications, including solutions for wind, solar, hydrogen, electric vehicles, and synthetic diamond manufacturing. Canvys provides customized display solutions serving corporate enterprise, financial, healthcare, industrial, and medical original equipment manufacturer markets, offering touch screens, protective panels, custom enclosures, and specialized computing platforms.
Richardson Electronics maintains manufacturing facilities in LaFox, Illinois; Marlborough, Massachusetts; and Donaueschingen, Germany, with distribution centers across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. The company employs 429 individuals as of May 30, 2026, comprising 392 full-time and 37 part-time employees, with 287 based in the United States and 142 internationally. All employees are non-union.
The company maintains over 100,000 part numbers in its product inventory database and estimates that more than 90 percent of orders received by 6:00 p.m. local time are shipped complete the same day for in-stock products.
