What ROBERT HALF INC. does

In the company’s own words

Robert Half Inc. (NYSE: RH) operates as a specialized talent solutions and business consulting services provider through its Robert Half and Protiviti brands. Founded in 1948, the company has evolved from a franchisor model to a fully integrated operator with direct ownership of all offices, allowing for consistent quality control and enhanced profitability through centralized administrative functions. The company's website is www.roberthalf.com.

The company operates through three primary reportable segments: contract talent solutions, permanent placement talent solutions, and Protiviti consulting services. Robert Half's contract talent solutions business provides engagement professionals across finance and accounting, technology, marketing and creative, legal, and administrative and customer support functions. This segment serves clients seeking to control personnel costs by converting fixed employment expenses to variable costs, while offering trial-to-permanent conversion options. The permanent placement talent solutions segment focuses on full-time recruitment across the same functional specializations, generating fees only from employers based on a percentage of annual compensation.

Protiviti, acquired through the hiring of over 700 professionals from Arthur Andersen's internal audit and risk consulting practice in 2002, operates as a global consulting firm providing services in regulatory compliance, finance, technology, operations, data, digital, legal, human resources, governance, risk management, and internal audit across more than 25 countries.

As of December 31, 2025, Robert Half maintained approximately 14,500 full-time internal staff, including approximately 7,100 employees in Protiviti operations, and placed approximately 94,300 engagement professionals on client assignments. The company conducts operations through offices in the United States and 18 other countries for talent solutions, with Protiviti operating in the United States and 13 foreign countries.

The company leverages proprietary artificial intelligence technology to match candidates with job opportunities and improve client lead generation. Robert Half owns numerous registered trademarks including Robert Half Finance & Accounting, Accountemps, OfficeTeam, Robert Half Technology, Robert Half Management Resources, Robert Half Legal, The Creative Group, and Protiviti. The company is not dependent on single customers, with no individual government contract representing more than one percent of total service revenues.
