What SCANSOURCE, INC. does

In the company’s own words

ScanSource, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCSC) is a leading technology distributor uniquely positioned to serve approximately 25,000 channel sales partners across North America and Brazil. The company operates at www.scansource.com and specializes in distributing complex, converging technology solutions through multiple specialized sales models rather than competing as a broad-line distributor.

The company operates two reportable segments. The Specialty Technology Solutions segment distributes hardware, software as a service, and subscription services through a wholesale resale model, including mobility and barcode solutions, point-of-sale systems, payment terminals, physical security products, networking equipment, communications solutions, and managed connectivity services. The Intelisys & Advisory segment operates as a technology services distributor using an agency sales model, offering connectivity, cloud, unified communications, contact center solutions, and managed artificial intelligence services to both channel partners and end users.

ScanSource markets over 65,000 products from approximately 500 suppliers to its channel partner base, which includes value-added resellers, managed service providers, independent software vendors, independent sales organizations, and technology advisors. The company generated net sales of $3.23 billion for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026. Major suppliers include Cisco, Zebra Technologies, Dell, Microsoft, HP, Fortinet, and Zoom, with Cisco and Zebra each representing more than ten percent of annual net sales.

The company operates distribution facilities across the United States, including a 741,000 square foot distribution center in Southaven, Mississippi near the FedEx hub in Memphis, with additional warehouses in California and Kentucky. International operations include warehouses in the Brazilian states of Paraná, Espírito Santo, and Santa Catarina. As of June 30, 2026, ScanSource employed approximately 2,100 people, with roughly 1,400 in the United States and the remainder primarily in Brazil.

ScanSource's competitive advantages center on specialized expertise, custom configuration services, advanced technical support, inventory availability, and flexible financial solutions for channel partners. The company provides pre-sale business tools, training, product configuration capabilities, and logistics support to help channel partners grow profitably while offering suppliers scalable reach and multiple routes to market.
