Bank of the Sierra, a California state-chartered bank incorporated in 1977, provides a comprehensive range of retail and commercial banking services across California's South San Joaquin Valley, Central Coast, Ventura County, and neighboring communities. The Bank operates 34 full-service branch locations and maintains administrative offices and loan production offices throughout its service territory. The company has grown through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, including the purchases of Sierra National Bank in 2000, Santa Clara Valley Bank in 2014, Coast National Bank in 2016, and Ojai Community Bank in 2017.
