The business

Sphere Entertainment Co. (NYSE: SPHR) operates as a leader in immersive experiences, technology, and media through two primary reportable segments: Sphere and MSG Networks. The company's website is sphereentertainment.com.

The Sphere segment represents an experiential medium powered by advanced technologies designed to deliver unparalleled immersive entertainment. The company's flagship venue opened in Las Vegas in September 2023, featuring a 580,000-square-foot programmable LED exterior known as the Exosphere—the world's largest LED screen—and a 16K x 16K interior display plane with 160,000 square feet of high-resolution LED screens. The venue incorporates proprietary Sphere Immersive Sound technology, 4D multi-sensory effects, and haptic seating to create fully immersive environments. The 17,600-seat main bowl can accommodate up to 20,000 guests and hosts original immersive productions, concerts, residencies, marquee sporting events, and brand activations. The company operates Sphere Studios in Burbank, a dedicated content creation facility developing original immersive experiences exclusively for Sphere venues. The company is expanding its global network, with Sphere Abu Dhabi under development in the United Arab Emirates and a smaller-scale Sphere venue planned for National Harbor, Maryland.

MSG Networks operates two award-winning regional sports and entertainment networks—MSG Network and MSG Sportsnet—serving the New York designated market area and portions of surrounding states. The segment features exclusive live local games from five professional New York-area teams: the New York Knicks and Rangers, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, and Buffalo Sabres, along with significant coverage of the New York Giants and Buffalo Bills. MSG Networks also operates MSG+, a direct-to-consumer and authenticated streaming product included in the Gotham Sports streaming platform launched through a joint venture with YES Network. As of November 2025, MSG Networks reached approximately 2.9 million combined viewing subscribers across its regional territory.

The company was formerly known as Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. and redomesticated from Delaware to Nevada in June 2025. It maintains an extensive portfolio of patents and intellectual property spanning venue design, audio delivery, video capture and display, and 4D technologies.

Fund ownership counts N-PORT filers only, so it is a floor rather than a census — pensions, insurers and direct holders are not visible here, and the remainder is not “held by individuals”.

Fund ownership is a subset of institutional 13F ownership — the two describe overlapping populations and must not be added together.
