The company operates in the radio frequency satellite market, focusing on what it terms the "listening" segment rather than imagery or communications. Spire monetizes four forms of data: clean data directly from satellites, smart data fused with third-party datasets, predictive data using artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, and data solutions providing actionable recommendations for specific business problems.

Approximately 43 percent of revenue for the year ended December 31, 2025, was generated by three government customers, reflecting Spire's significant reliance on government contracts.
