The company operates three primary reportable segments: Environmental Solutions, which designs and manufactures waste and recycling equipment including refuse collection bodies, compactors, balers, and utility products such as digger derricks and insulated aerial devices; Material Processing, which produces materials processing and specialty equipment including crushers, screens, washing systems, wood processing equipment, concrete mixer trucks, and pick and carry cranes; and Aerials, which manufactures aerial work platforms, scissor lifts, and telehandlers used in construction and maintenance applications.

Terex maintains significant manufacturing operations across multiple continents, with facilities in locations including Fort Payne and Vernon, Alabama; Watertown and Huron, South Dakota; Northern Ireland; India; Malaysia; Canada; Australia; and Mexico. The company employs approximately 10,700 team members globally, with roughly 5,700 in the United States.

The company markets its products under numerous established brand names including Genie, Powerscreen, Fuchs, Heil, Marathon, and Terex. Terex provides comprehensive lifecycle support through its global parts and services organization and offers complementary digital solutions designed to maximize customer return on investment. The company also facilitates equipment financing through Terex Financial Services, which arranges financing transactions between customers and third-party financial institutions.

Terex's business strategy centers on its "Execute, Innovate, Grow" operating framework, emphasizing operational excellence, purposeful innovation including digital transformation and alternative power solutions, and profitable growth through both organic development and strategic acquisitions. The company completed the acquisition of Environmental Solutions Group from Dover Corporation in 2024 and merged with REV Group, Inc. on February 2, 2026, expanding its portfolio into customized vehicle solutions for public services, commercial infrastructure, and consumer leisure markets. As of December 31, 2025, the company maintained a backlog of $2.352 billion across its operating segments.
