Founded in 1986 through the merger of Burroughs and Sperry, Unisys traces its origins back to 1873 and has built a legacy of innovation and trust in solving complex technology challenges for the world's leading organizations. The company operates through three reportable segments that address evolving client needs in the digital transformation landscape.
Digital Workplace Solutions provides end-to-end IT support from the data center to the edge, including Next-Generation Service Desk powered by generative and agentic artificial intelligence, Field Services for on-site technical support, Unified Endpoint Management for device security and monitoring, Device Subscription Services for hardware lifecycle management, and Experience-as-a-Service for proactive IT problem identification and remediation.
Cloud, Applications & Infrastructure Solutions continuously optimizes hybrid infrastructure and multi-cloud environments while transforming enterprise applications and enhancing security. This segment offers application development and managed services, hybrid multi-cloud transformation and managed services, and security managed services across complex IT ecosystems.
Enterprise Computing Solutions delivers proprietary and hybrid compute capabilities for mission-critical workloads in financial services, travel and transportation, healthcare and life sciences, and public sector entities. The segment includes ClearPath Forward operating systems and platforms for secure transaction processing, managed services, next-generation computing including high-performance and quantum computing, and industry-specific solutions.
As of December 31, 2025, Unisys employed approximately 15,000 professionals globally, with 4,200 located in India, 2,300 in the United States, and 8,500 in other countries. The company maintains over 360 active U.S. patents and over 240 trademark registrations across thirty-eight non-U.S. jurisdictions. At December 31, 2025, the company reported total contract value of $2.207 billion and backlog of $3.16 billion, with approximately $1.11 billion expected to convert to revenue in 2026.
