United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) operates as a leading grocery wholesaler and support services provider across the United States and Canada. The company's website is located at http://www.unfi.com.

UNFI distributes over 200,000 products to more than 30,000 customer locations, ranging from some of North America's largest grocers to smaller independent retailers. The company maintains a coast-to-coast distribution network with 46 distribution centers and warehouses representing approximately 26 million square feet of warehouse space, serving customers in all 50 U.S. states and all ten Canadian provinces. As of August 1, 2026, UNFI employed 23,431 full and part-time employees, with approximately 48 percent covered by collective bargaining agreements.

The company operates through three reportable segments: Natural, which focuses on natural, organic, and specialty food and non-food products; Conventional, which handles conventional food and non-food products; and Retail, which includes 65 Cub Foods and Shoppers retail grocery stores. UNFI's largest customer accounted for approximately 28 percent of net sales in fiscal 2026, with whom the company maintains a distribution agreement extending through May 20, 2032.

UNFI's product assortment spans center store and general merchandise, fresh and perishables, frozen goods, wellness and personal care, and bulk and foodservice categories. The company owns multiple private label brands including Essential Everyday, Shoppers Value, Wild Harvest, Field Day, and Woodstock, as well as complementary brands such as Stone Ridge Creamery and Equaline. Woodstock Farms Manufacturing, a subsidiary, specializes in importing, roasting, and packaging nuts, dried fruits, seeds, and organic snack items.

Beyond wholesale distribution, UNFI provides digital and professional services including shelf management, pricing strategy, point-of-sale solutions, marketing services, and data analytics. The company launched Endless Aisle, a digital marketplace connecting retailers with emerging brands. UNFI maintains organic certifications across its distribution network and operates a comprehensive quality assurance program. The company traces its heritage to 1976 and has grown through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions that have enhanced its distribution capabilities and customer base.
