What Uniti Group Inc. does

In the company’s own words

Uniti Group Inc. (Nasdaq: UNIT) is a premier digital infrastructure company providing advanced communications services across approximately 240,000 fiber route miles spanning 47 states. The company serves more than 1.0 million customers, including over 500,000 residential fiber customers, with a network encompassing approximately 1.9 million fiber-equipped households predominantly located in the Midwest and Southeast United States.

Uniti operates through three primary business segments. The Kinetic segment provides multi-gigabit fiber internet, whole-home Wi-Fi, internet security, and voice services to residential and small business customers across approximately 1,400 markets in 18 states, generating $928.4 million in revenues. The Uniti Solutions segment functions as a platform-led managed services provider combining cloud-optimized connectivity with integrated security and collaboration services for enterprise customers, contributing $332.3 million in revenues. The Fiber Infrastructure segment delivers fiber-based connectivity and enterprise networking solutions to mission-critical communications customers including banks, hospitals, schools, and government organizations, while also providing high-capacity bandwidth and transport services to wholesale customers including hyperscalers and content providers, generating $1,053.9 million in revenues.

The company was formed through the August 1, 2025 merger of Old Uniti Group LLC, a previously independent real estate investment trust focused on communications infrastructure, with Windstream, a major telecommunications provider. Following the merger, Uniti's combined operations generated total revenues of $2,234.5 million for the year ended December 31, 2025. The merger created a vertically integrated communications company combining Windstream's retail telecommunications operations with Old Uniti's fiber infrastructure assets and leasing business.

Uniti's competitive positioning is built on its extensive fiber footprint, advanced network capabilities supporting AI and high-performance computing workloads, platform-led managed services approach, and customer-obsessed operational philosophy. The company maintains a website at www.uniti.com and competes across consumer broadband, enterprise networking, and wholesale infrastructure markets.
