What Uranium Energy Corp. does
In the company’s own words
Uranium Energy Corp. (NYSE American: UEC) operates as a uranium mining and development company focused on rebuilding the domestic nuclear fuel supply chain in the United States. The company maintains headquarters in Corpus Christi, Texas, with additional operations in Vancouver, British Columbia, and projects across multiple jurisdictions including Wyoming, Texas, Canada, and Paraguay.
The company operates through two reportable segments: mining and corporate. The mining segment encompasses uranium exploration, pre-extraction, extraction, and processing activities utilizing in-situ recovery (ISR) mining methods at its South Texas and Wyoming projects. UEC operates three ISR mining hub-and-spoke platforms anchored by fully licensed central processing plants: the Hobson CPP in Texas and the Irigaray CPP in Wyoming, with a third platform centered on the Sweetwater Mill in Wyoming. The company has licensed production capacity of approximately 12.1 million pounds per year across its Wyoming and South Texas platforms. During fiscal 2026, the company produced 229,294 pounds of precipitated uranium and dried and drummed U3O8, with cumulative production of 359,260 pounds since commissioning.
In Canada, UEC controls an extensive land and resource portfolio in the Athabasca Basin anchored by the Roughrider Project in Saskatchewan, acquired through the 2022 acquisition of UEX Corporation and the Roughrider Project from Rio Tinto. The corporate segment includes a Physical Uranium Program holding 1,256,000 pounds of purchased uranium as of July 31, 2026, and strategic investments in Anfield Energy Inc. and Uranium Royalty Corp.
Through its wholly owned subsidiary United States Uranium Refining & Conversion Corp., UEC is pursuing domestic refining and conversion capabilities. The company maintains a 100 percent unhedged uranium strategy, providing full exposure to uranium market fundamentals. UEC's business strategy emphasizes scaling operations to meet growing nuclear energy demand driven by data center development, artificial intelligence requirements, and government support for nuclear energy as a clean baseload power source.
