These refineries process crude oil and other feedstocks into gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and other refined products distributed through wholesale rack channels and bulk sales to petroleum companies, traders, and end users including airlines, railroads, and utilities. The company maintains an extensive marketing network with approximately 7,000 branded outlets operating under the Valero, Beacon, Diamond Shamrock, Shamrock, Ultramar, and Texaco brand names across North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Mexico.
The Renewable Diesel segment operates through Diamond Green Diesel Holdings LLC, a consolidated joint venture with Darling Ingredients Inc., which owns two renewable diesel plants located adjacent to the company's St. Charles and Port Arthur refineries in Louisiana and Texas. These plants produce renewable diesel, renewable naphtha, and sustainable aviation fuel from waste and renewable feedstocks with a combined production capacity of approximately 1.2 billion gallons annually.
