The company's principal subsidiary is The Washington Trust Company, of Westerly, a Rhode Island-chartered bank founded in 1800 and the oldest community bank in the nation, headquartered in Westerly, Rhode Island.
Washington Trust offers a full range of financial services including commercial banking, mortgage banking, personal banking, and wealth management and trust services through a network of 28 branch offices located in Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. As of December 31, 2025, the company maintained total assets of $6.6 billion, total deposits of $5.3 billion, and total shareholders' equity of $543.6 million, with 642 full-time equivalent employees.
