Xperi operates as a single reportable business segment organized into four primary revenue categories: Pay-TV, Consumer Electronics, Connected Car, and Media Platform. The company's technology portfolio is integrated into consumer devices, connected cars, and media platforms, enabling audiences to connect with entertainment content in intelligent, immersive, and personalized ways.
In the Pay-TV segment, Xperi delivers user experience solutions to multichannel video programming distributors worldwide through cloud-based platforms including Electronic Program Guides, TiVo IPTV services, TV-as-a-Service offerings, video metadata products, and personalized content discovery with natural language voice capabilities. The Consumer Electronics division provides audio technology solutions, particularly its DTS codec and post-processing audio technologies, which are incorporated into televisions, personal computers, smartphones, tablets, set-top boxes, video game consoles, and audio equipment from major manufacturers including Samsung, Sony, LG, and Microsoft.
The Connected Car segment encompasses HD Radio, the only FCC-approved digital terrestrial broadcast system for AM/FM radio in the United States, and DTS AutoStage, a comprehensive automotive infotainment platform integrating premium audio, video, metadata, and search capabilities. Over 14 million vehicles currently feature DTS AutoStage technology, with major automotive manufacturers including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ford, and Tesla deploying the solution.
The Media Platform segment operates TiVo OS, a Linux-based smart television operating system launched in 2023 with design wins from major television manufacturers including Vestel, Sharp, Panasonic, and Skyworth. By December 31, 2025, the platform achieved over five million monthly active users, representing 250 percent growth from the prior year. Xperi monetizes its media platform through video and display advertising, subscription services, viewership data licensing, and off-platform connected television advertising.
The company holds approximately 465 United States issued patents and 449 foreign issued patents, with the last expiring in 2044. Xperi's trademarks include Xperi, TiVo, DTS, HD Radio, and TiVo OS, among others.
