What this fund is
Objective, as filed

The Alpha Architect 1-3 Month Box ETF (the Fund) seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, equals or exceeds the price and yield performance of an investment that tracks the 1-3 month sector of the United States Treasury Bill market.

Strategy, summarised

The fund purchases box spreads—paired long and short option positions on broad-based equity ETFs or indices with identical expiration dates—structured to replicate the return profile of 1–3 month Treasury bills. Each box spread has a fixed payoff at expiration equal to the difference between its strike prices, similar to a zero-coupon bond, and the fund typically holds multiple spreads with a weighted average maturity under 90 days. The fund may trade spreads before expiration if market conditions warrant, and expects high portfolio turnover as it rolls or replaces expiring positions. Because box spreads are held primarily to expiration and their value between initiation and expiration depends on interest rate changes and credit market supply and demand rather than movements in the underlying reference asset, returns will fluctuate with short-term rates but remain independent of equity price movements.
