What this fund is
Objective, as filed

Fidelity Freedom Blend 2030 Fund seeks high total return until its target retirement date. Thereafter the fund's objective will be to seek high current income and, as a

Strategy, summarised

The fund invests through a combination of underlying Fidelity equity, bond, and short-term funds, with a neutral asset allocation that adjusts over time along a glide path, becoming more conservative as it approaches and passes its 2030 target retirement date. The Adviser may tactically overweight or underweight asset classes by up to 10% relative to the neutral allocations to reflect its market outlook, and may also allocate up to 25% in aggregate to alternative asset classes such as high yield debt, floating rate debt, and emerging markets debt. Because the fund's active positioning can diverge from its neutral allocations, results may differ from a static target-date strategy. Approximately 15 to 20 years after 2030, the fund's allocations will match those of the Fidelity Freedom Blend Retirement Fund, at which point the funds may be merged.
