The iShares Future AI & Tech ETF (the Fund ) seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of U.S. and non-U.S. companies that provide products and services that are expected to contribute to artificial intelligence ( AI ) technologies in areas including generative AI, AI data and infrastructure, AI software, and AI services.
The fund tracks the Morningstar Global Artificial Intelligence Select Index, which identifies approximately 50 U.S. and non-U.S. companies scored by Morningstar on exposure to generative AI, AI data and infrastructure, AI software, and AI services, then ranks them by tier assignment and thematic purity. The fund uses representative sampling, meaning it may not hold all index constituents and could diverge from index performance. The index applies weight caps within each tier and limits Tier 3 securities to 10% of the index, concentrating exposure in higher-tier AI companies.
