The State Street SPDR NYSE Technology ETF (the Fund) seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index that tracks the performance of publicly traded technology companies.
The fund tracks the NYSE Technology Index, a 35-stock equal-weighted index of U.S.-listed technology and technology-related consumer discretionary companies selected by market capitalization and liquidity, then rebalanced annually. The fund invests substantially all its assets in the index constituents, though it may use a sampling approach to hold a subset of securities with similar risk and return characteristics. Because the fund employs sampling rather than holding all index constituents in exact proportion, its returns may diverge from the index.
