Vanguard Diversified Equity Fund (the Fund) seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation and dividend income.
The fund is a fund of funds that invests in a diversified group of actively-managed Vanguard equity mutual funds rather than in individual securities, gaining indirect exposure to large-, mid-, and small-capitalization domestic equity securities. Under normal circumstances, the fund maintains at least 80% of its net assets in equity securities through its underlying funds. Because returns depend on the performance and holdings of the underlying funds selected, results will diverge from any single equity benchmark.
