Xcel Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: XEL) is a major regulated electric and natural gas delivery company headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and operates through its website at www.xcelenergy.com. The company serves approximately 3.9 million electric customers and 2.2 million natural gas customers across eight states, including portions of Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin.

Xcel Energy operates through four primary utility subsidiaries: Northern States Power Company (Minnesota), Northern States Power Company (Wisconsin), Public Service Company of Colorado, and Southwestern Public Service Company. These subsidiaries generate, purchase, transmit, and distribute electricity, while also purchasing, transporting, and distributing natural gas in their respective service territories. The company also maintains transmission-only subsidiaries including WestGas InterState and WYCO Development, which focus on natural gas pipeline and storage operations. Nonregulated subsidiaries include Eloigne, Capital Services, Venture Holdings, and Nicollet Project Holdings.

The company maintains substantial infrastructure assets totaling $81.4 billion, including approximately 20,800 megawatts of owned electric generating capacity, 115,000 conductor miles of transmission lines, and 225,000 conductor miles of distribution lines. Natural gas operations include 53.3 billion cubic feet of storage capacity, 2,100 miles of transmission lines, and 38,000 miles of distribution lines. Xcel Energy employs 11,534 full-time employees across its operations.

Electric operations represent the largest revenue segment, with residential customers accounting for 32 percent of electric revenues, commercial and industrial customers representing 49 percent, and other sources comprising 19 percent. Natural gas operations contribute additional revenues through residential, commercial and industrial, and transportation services. The company's energy generation portfolio includes wind, nuclear, hydroelectric, biomass, and solar resources, alongside natural gas and coal facilities. Xcel Energy has committed to achieving zero-carbon electricity by 2050 and net-zero greenhouse gas natural gas service by 2050, with plans to fully exit coal generation by the end of 2030.
