The business

Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ: CMCSA) operates as a global media and technology company serving customers, viewers, and guests worldwide through two primary business divisions: Connectivity & Platforms and Content & Experiences. The company's website is www.comcast.com.

The Connectivity & Platforms business generates revenue from broadband, wireless, video, and voice services delivered primarily under the Xfinity, Comcast Business, Sky, and NOW brands across the United States, United Kingdom, and Italy. This segment operates through two reportable divisions: Residential Connectivity & Platforms and Business Services Connectivity. Residential services include broadband offerings with speeds up to gigabit-plus downstream capabilities, wireless services provided through MVNO agreements with Verizon and T-Mobile, video services delivered via the X1 and Sky Q platforms, and voice services. Business Services Connectivity provides small business and enterprise solutions including fiber-based services delivering symmetrical speeds up to 100 gigabits per second for certain customers. The company operates an extensive hybrid fiber-optic and coaxial network domestically and leverages third-party networks internationally.

The Content & Experiences business comprises three segments: Media, Studios, and Theme Parks. The Media segment operates NBCUniversal's national and regional cable networks, NBC and Telemundo broadcast networks with owned local stations, the Peacock direct-to-consumer streaming service, and international television networks including Sky Sports. The Studios segment produces and distributes filmed entertainment through Universal Pictures, Illumination, DreamWorks Animation, Focus Features, and Working Title, alongside television production through Universal Television and Sky Studios. The Theme Parks segment operates Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Japan, and Universal Beijing Resort, generating revenue from ticket sales, in-park spending, and consumer products.

In January 2026, Comcast completed the separation of Versant Media Group, Inc., which comprises certain cable television networks including MS NOW, CNBC, USA Network, Golf Channel, E!, SYFY, and Oxygen, along with digital platforms including Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes. This separation was structured as a tax-free spin-off to Comcast shareholders. The company maintains significant competitive advantages through its integrated platform combining connectivity services with premium content and experiences, extensive proprietary network infrastructure, and recognized brands across media, entertainment, and telecommunications sectors.

Fund ownership counts N-PORT filers only, so it is a floor rather than a census — pensions, insurers and direct holders are not visible here, and the remainder is not “held by individuals”.

Fund ownership is a subset of institutional 13F ownership — the two describe overlapping populations and must not be added together.
