Ferguson Enterprises Inc. (NYSE: FERG, LSE: FERG) operates as the largest value-added distributor serving water and air specialized professionals in North America's $340 billion residential and non-residential construction market. The company maintains its corporate headquarters and management office at 751 Lakefront Commons, Newport News, Virginia, with additional information available at corporate.ferguson.com.
The company's business model bridges a large and fragmented supplier base with an even larger and more fragmented customer base. Ferguson sources, distributes and sells products from approximately 37,000 suppliers, offering more than one million unique products annually. The company serves customers through a network of 1,746 branches, 11 regional distribution centers, and six market distribution centers across North America, supported by approximately 5,900 fleet vehicles and 35,000 associates worldwide.
Ferguson operates two reportable segments organized on a geographical basis. The United States segment contributed 95 percent of net sales and operates 1,519 branches with approximately 32,000 associates, providing plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, appliances, lighting, pipes, valves and fittings, water and wastewater solutions and related services. The Canada segment contributed 5 percent of net sales and operates 227 branches with approximately 3,000 associates under the Wolseley brand, supplying plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and specialized water treatment products.
The company's product portfolio includes both branded products and proprietary own-brand offerings sold exclusively in its markets. Approximately 95 percent of products sold in the United States are sourced from U.S.-based suppliers, while approximately 90 percent of Canadian products are sourced domestically. Ferguson's customer base is highly diversified, with no single customer accounting for more than 1 percent of net sales. The company serves residential and non-residential markets equally, with approximately two-thirds of sales derived from repair, maintenance and improvement activities and one-third from new construction projects.
Ferguson maintains a balanced business model emphasizing value-added solutions including inside and outside sales teams, digital commerce capabilities, customized services such as virtual design and fabrication, and project management support. The company operates in highly fragmented markets with no single dominant distributor, positioning Ferguson as a leading distributor across most end markets served, including residential, commercial, civil infrastructure and industrial sectors.
